WELCOME to my on-line Portfolio of Creative Art Works
Here on this site l will showcase ALL my creative 'Leanings!'.
Its a strange thing to say 'Leanings!' but my creativity is not placed into just the 1 box.
I can work with Mixed Media one day then the following lm working with Textiles.. Digital Mixed Media [this is where l bring everything l have learnt and what l am still learning into creating a digital Mixed media project. It may look like Mixed media but not a single drop of Glue or paint has been used.
I still keep my hand in when it comes to Photography but l have to admit when it used to be at the top of my favourite things to do it's now down near to the bottom of that creative pile.
Then comes my NEW FAV! Im learning or should l say teaching myself how to design Tee-shirt... Baby grows.. Hoodies etc in a Digital Mixed Media style. Instead of using a flat substrate lm using a moulded one [well it is when worn.] It's early days but l'm having a lot of fun learning. Who ever said you cant teach an old dog new tricks IS WRONG lol.
Having gone through ALL my craft room stash l decided that ENOUGH was ENOUGH! the amount of items that l had bought and never used or indeed used just the once was mind blowing when l added up a cost. So l decided that l would create little projects with my stencils, stamps, paints etc and then from them. The days of me making cards as l used to do has come to an ending. I have to start to use what l have bought and they have to start to pay rent.
Finally when it comes to fabrics lm going to be using the sewing machine and threads as if l was using pen and ink. Creating a textile layer that may have been stenciled.. painted and stamped. An image then drawn onto the fabric and then the sewing machine with free motion foot in place off l go....
So that l could see what l have within my creative space there was a completely new revamp of the whole room. Lots of metal racks were put in place and there was even a new workspace created. Where as the old place was a death trap this new one helps me with my disabilities to be mobile to be creative and to be a member of the creative world once again.
Thank you for reading this introduction.. I hope that you enjoy your visit and if there are ANY questions you would like to ask about anything you may have seen or read on this on-line portfolio then please email me via the message board at the end.
If you would like to have a look at my blog then here is a link for that site as well.
